Our Current Research Projects

Gold Coast DBT is the location for Australian DBT Institute research projects including DBT-TI Intensive Project, DBT-TI Telehealth Project and our Phone Coaching Project!

Currently offered through our online portal (DBT Assist), the Gold Coast DBT Clinic is assisting with researching the effectiveness of delivering DBT groups online. The next intake is for April 2023!
We are currently seeking funding to identify the effectiveness of phone coaching in DBT when provided outside a DBT program. Participants will have access to a national Australian DBT Institute phone coaching service. Phone coaching supports individuals, participating in DBT groups throughout Australia, use DBT skills in times of crisis.
Commencing in June 2023 at the Gold Coast DBT Clinic will have the first intake of our DBT-TI Intensive Group program. The DBT-TI Intensive program is a 16 session DBT-TI program which is run over four weeks for individuals with a trauma history and wanting to prepare for trauma memory processing work.
