Gold Coast DBT’s clinical and academic leader, Dr. Peter King, developed an innovative hub and spoke model for the delivery of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (CLPsych) services through a research grant with Bendigo Health Care in 2001. This model has been adapted at Gold Coast Clinic and is to be led by Dr. Claudia P Herrera (MO and Psychotherapist) from April 2021.

Our CLPsych clinic is run on a Tuesday each week and focuses on responding to the needs of individuals with a co-existing physical and psychiatric diagnosis. Our CLPsych services are offered from the Gold Coast DBT Clinic as well as through the support and consultation to a range of General Practice Clinics in the Gold Coast region.
